Director - Osmania TBI
Dr. E. Vidyasagar is a Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), University College of Engineering (UCE), Osmania University. Prior to this he was the Chairman – Board of Studies (BoS) and earlier Vice Principal of UCE from 2018 to 2021. He is also serving as Director – Directorate of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication (ITE&C), Osmania University since 31st January 2023 responsible for internet and WIFI services at campus and constituent colleges, website maintenance, etc.
He took charge as Director – Osmania Technology Business Incubator (OTBI) appointed by the Vice Chancellor on 6th April 2023. He is instrumental in producing startups from ideas of students and faculty members leading to success stories. In the past he successfully led the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at UCE when he was the Project Nodal Officer for TEQIP-II from 2013 to 2018 with funding from AICTE which later got scaled-up to OTBI at Central Facilities for Research and Development (CFRD), Osmania University.
Dr. T. Harinarayana was the Director General (DG) of Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI), Government of Gujarat which is now Chaired by Shri. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries. He started his career as Scientist-B at National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) a premium laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India which he served for 31 years and retired as Scientist-G (Director Grade).
He was elected as an Independent Director and served in the Board of Directors, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPCL), Government of Gujarat. He continues to be an Advisor at Gujarat Technological University a Public State University of Gujarat Government.
He was also Visiting Scientist at University of Texas in Austin, USA; Visiting Professor, University of Tokyo, Japan and Adjunct Faculty, Swamy Ramand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, Maharashtra. He is a recipient of ‘National Mineral Award’ by the Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India; ‘Andhra Pradesh Scientist Award’ by AP State Council of Science & Technology, Department of Environment, Forests, Science & Technology, Government of AP; ‘Earth Care Award’ by Times of India & Jindal Steel; ‘Innovation Leadership Award’ by Hindustan Unilever Limited; etc.
